Water plant native to South America, has orchid-like flowers with six petals of purple, white or pink. It is suitable to breed in the water or muddy conditions.

Normally, this tree would float on the water with parts of the leaf stalk pregnant and has air in it. At first glance, the stem leaves was like a life jacket. For those who love to decoration sites, tree water hyacinth has a uniquely its own. It is suitable placed in a small pond, large pots or vases.

Besides being used as decorations, water hyacinth leaves and stems are also often used as food for farm animals such as cows and goats. Lastly, the leaves and stems of this plant are also used as food for fish farming including ornamental fish.
