Red Button Ginger

Costus woodsonii is also a popular ornamental plant, because of the unique flowers. Red flower color enhances the beauty of the tree, also called the "Red Button Ginger". Interestingly, these flowers will produce flower buds from interstitial key (do not know want to call what) one by one and then wither and fall.

According to reliable sources, the flowers out of the main spring cracks (pictured above) is edible and it is said to have its own usefulness. Sweet as nectar. How do I know? I actually feel it. If you plant it in the home, may share it here.
