Revenala madagascariensis

Banana trees or scientific name Revenala fan madagascariensis also known as Traveller's Palm. This palm tree is a tree that originates from Madagascar and can reach a height of up to 8 meters. From the look of its only been seen like like bananas. But the difference is huge leaves and arranged like a fan.

From reference books, this tree is said to produce flowers but rarely flowering in low lying areas. Inflorescences arising in the armpit leaves and shaped like a boat and the red colored white. Before this, I never heard anyone talk about this tree ever produce flowers in Malaysia but till now I have not ever seen it.

This tree is often planted as an ornamental plant in the yard of the building and the park because this tree unique design and attractive if given good care.
