Licuala grandis

Palas fan Licuala grandis or scientific name is said to come from the New Hebrides to northern Australia. This is a type of palm tree that does not have the same stem apex as other palm. The tree has a dense crown and broad leaves are round like a propeller.

 Fruit is located on a long inflorescence and shiny green when young. Growth is said to be slow but the trees can reach a height of up to 3 meters.
